French Development Agency will operate in Ecuador since 2015
The French Development Agency provides to start operating in Ecuador since 2015 with an electrical project. In this, from 100 to 150 million dollars will be invested, said the French ambassador to Ecuador, François Gauthier.
In addition, they are studying a second disbursement to help local governments to improve their infrastructure in the water field, Gauthier said.
The ambassador said that this is about “loans to market conditions,” and explained that “what makes the difference between a normal bank and the French bank is the experience, because the AFD works in the world”.
“The issue of the agency is sustainable growth, green growth: clean electricity, water, decontamination are issues in which the AFD will help,” he said.
The AFD currently works in about fifteen countries in Latin America and the current amount of loans it has in the region is of USD 4000 million.
