French Journalist Romeo Langlois was Freed

French Journalist Romeo Langlois who was kidnapped by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC for its Spanish acronym) since last April 28th, was freed by the guerrillas, thanks to a rescue operation carried out on Wednesday.

“I can not complain, I’ve been treated harshly, I’ve been given little stuff, but they never tied me”, said Langlois to Telesur network after being given by the FARC to a humanitarian commission in the department of Caqueta.

Langlois said “I did not need this experience to be familiar with the Colombian conflict nor meeting the guerrillas. I’ve been a long time on this, what is left on me is the conviction that we must continue to cover this conflict and that with me a lot of politics was made from many sides”.

In the next few hours the journalist is expected to be transferred to the city of Florencia, at the Caqueta department, where he could give a press conference or travel to Bogota. (MZ)
