Gabriel González, better known social networks as Crudo Ecuador, decided to leave the anonymity and publicly appear as a measure of protection due to threats against him.
In an interview with El Universo newspaper, Gonzalez said that his personal information and that of his family circulated in government networks before closing the Crudo Ecuador Facebook page. But the decision of appearing in communication media was because of the threats continued despite he had already closed the Facebook page.
“After reading the statements of government people that is difficult to provide me support or warranty if I insist to remain anonymous. Although the Interior Ministry already knew who I was because I went to file a complaint to the Prosecution when they sent me a bouquet of flowers with threats. There is a police report with all of my information,” Gonzalez said.
