Ecuadornews:
Today, during an interview at Radio Huancavilca, Vice President Jorge Glas assured he only has $ 2,000 in his savings account and that journalists may have more money than him.
Glas said that he is no longer part of the Ecuadorian government and that he only fulfills his constitutional functions. He affirmed he has suffered from media lynching for two years and is currently being “gagged.” He added that he would resort to the civil court to declare on malicious and reckless accusations to recover his honor.
According to the vice president, who was removed from office on August 3, prosecutor Diana Salazar is giving way to media pressure. He assured that “There is no proof. If there were any evidence, he would be in jail.”
Glas made the remarks while reading the document issued by Salazar, who investigated him for alleged illicit association in the Odebrecht case. In fact, evidence was found against the vice president. This information was known last Monday. An act of negation before an obvious truth, and documentary evidence. A last-ditch effort. (I)
