Greece Proposes its Own Immigrant Fence
Posted On 05 Jan 2011
The Greek government insisted on the need of building a protection fence in its border with Turkey to stop the constant access of illegal immigrants in their country.
The structure has a length of 12,5 km, which would cover the extension of the border in an agricultural zone that cannot be patrolled.
The natural border of Evros River protects the rest of the 205 km, which is patrolled by boats. The wall will have thermal cameras and motion sensor, a model that is also used on the city of Ceuta, Spain.
