Guayaquil will have a megacenter against addictions

The Governor of Guayas announced the suspension of the closure of rehabilitation centers, which must be regularized for up to 90 days.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, January 22, by the Minister of Health, Verónica Espinosa, and the Governor of Guayas, Raúl Ledesma. They presented the operational plan to improve access to mental health services for people with problematic use.

However, he recalled that there are 12 public rehabilitation centers in the country. He assured that from this week the operational plan will be launched that seeks to capture, either by spontaneous demand or through calls to line 171, young people and adults suffering from consumption to begin detoxification.
