The presidential candidate of the CREO-SUMA coalition, Guillermo Lasso, focused his campaign last Saturday in the province of El Oro. In Huaquillas, Santa Rosa and Machala, he participated in concentrations and promised works, investment in health and education and reforms for favoring banana and shrimp producers.
In Huaquillas, where he presented his proposal of 1 million jobs in four years, he said he would support the town hall and anticipated the construction of a shopping center. He also gave his support to “maintain the international bridge as a vertebra of trade.”
The candidate offered a hospital in Santa Rosa with at least 120 beds, as well as the functioning of the pedagogical center for teachers training. “The change means that we are going to give the property title to the small shrimp farmers who have a concession in El Oro, the change means to electrify shrimp farms to lower production costs …” he said.
