Capriles critics Chavez donations

During the press conference that Henrique Capriles gave at Chacao Cultural Center, in Caracas Venezuela, he said that “first are the problems at home.” Capriles read a list of examples of the assistance that President Hugo Chavez has given to other countries; among those he mentioned the Ecuadorian public TV station EcuadorTV.

The presidential candidate added that all the oil treaties granted as gifts by this government would have to be reversed. “Chavez doesn’t do it for solidarity; he does it to have support.”

“I believe, without a doubt, that the change that will take place in Venezuela will have an impact in Latin America politics; not because of its model, because my model is the Brazilian model, but because my vision of democracy, its plurality, of alternation and non-hegemonic projects will cause a rapture in its leadership.”

Before Capriles, left he added, “With Ecuador there is identification, the President Rafael Correa is an ally of Chavez, however, I don’t believe Correa is like Chavez.” AV
