Immigrant Fund Would be Created
Posted On 17 Nov 2010
Galo Chiriboga, the Ecuadorian Ambassador in Spain, informed this morning that the treaties were signed and registered during the visit of the Spanish Chancellor, Trinidad Jimenez. The document would create a fund for immigrant loans.
The fund’s purpose is to backup any demands made against the immigrants, and don’t lose the contributions registered should they return to their home country. Chiriboga remarked that the treaties signed are of mutual benefit for the immigrants and the social security of both countries.
According to the diplomat, over a 10.000 people have voluntarily returned to Ecuador in the last few years. Chiriboga is also working to banish the racism and the unemployment for immigrants.
