In Ecuador, the creation of a soccer complex is being promoted with the support of FIFA
Ecuadornews:
The Ecuadorian Soccer Federation, chaired by Carlos Villacís, signed a loan agreement for 50 years with the Municipality of Daule on Monday for a piece of land for the construction of a soccer complex that has the support of FIFA.
Villacís highlighted the contribution of 1.5 million dollars that will be invested by the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) through the Forward funds, for the construction of the complex, which will be located about 40 minutes from Guayaquil, the city that hosts The Ecuadorian Soccer Federation.
“The different disciplines and categories of soccer will be concentrated here and will be prepared here, thanks to the municipal authorities of the Daule canton, to the support and confidence of FIFA,” said Villacís.
He assured that the complex “will not only be for the national teams, when they have to work in Guayaquil, but also for the benefit of all our clubs when they play in Guayaquil or nearby cities” located on the south coast of the country.
Villacís stressed that the intention of the project is to provide the same support and service offered by “La Casa de la Selección”, in the Ecuadorian Andean capital, which also had the financial support of FIFA for its construction.
“FIFA has already approved one and a half million, but we are going to invest more, because this has to be a project of more than that amount, because today is a wasteland, but you will see that here we will build a monument for the good of Ecuadorian soccer” , He said.
For his part, the mayor of Daule, Pedro Salazar, thanked The Ecuadorian Soccer Federation for accepting the donation on a loan (free loan for use) of the seven hectares to build a large and strategic work for the benefit of soccer.
“In a time so difficult for the country and the world because of the terrible damage caused by drugs, this work without any doubt that will help so that our children and young people are not wasted. Here is the terrain, the rest will depend on you gentlemen of The Ecuadorian Soccer Federation, “said Salazar. (D)
