Insurance companies have paid more than $ 80 million after earthquake

Two months after the earthquake of April 16, the insurance sector has paid 80.68 million dollars for claims brought after the losses that left the natural disaster.
The Ecuadorian Federation of Insurance Companies (Fedeseg) indicated that the claims relate mainly to personal insurance policies (life, accidents) and damage (vehicles, homes, industries, etc).
According to the union, the companies have received 22,072 reports of casualties caused by the 7.8 M earthquake.
To date, 5,207 claims have been met and 16,685 requests for coverage remain pending.
