It is verified that products of school bars comply with new labeling
The National Agency for Regulation, Control and Health Surveillance (Arcsa for its Spanish acronym) is in the process of verifying in processing plants, supermarkets, grocery stores and school bars that products have the graphic system that shows the high (red) medium (yellow) and low (green), amounts of sugar, fat and salt.
Last week, the entity performed “preventative surprise visits” to five schools. In several, they informed, that products like yogurt or snacks already have the labeling, but other items not yet.
The disposition was that large and medium companies must have new labels since August 29, and they have a deadline to finish their past stock until November 29. At that time, the labeling requirement for small and micro companies also starts.
