Vistazo magazine informed that the supposed Twitter account of the former Ecuadorian president Jamil Mahuad, @jamilmahuadwitt, does not belongs to him. Mahuad stated, “I have not made that account,” through his attorney, the journalist @MariaBelenArro1.
It is not known who created the account, but its twitts were used by El Telegrafo newspaper to blame the responsibility of the freezing of bank accounts in 1999 to the presidential candidate Guillermo Lasso.
Additionally the former president stated through an online interview, that in his government everyone was responsible for its success and its fall. AV
