Following his social work, Crusade for a New Humanity Foundation, sponsored by the entrepreneur Alvaro Noboa, contributed once again with the Ecuadorian families, such is the case of the Jimenez Apolinario family.

The smell and taste of fresh bread from “La panaderia del chinito” is a special tradition of fifteen years for the people of neighborhood “El Recreo”, in Duran province.

In 2009, Don Bartolo Jimenez received a loan of $300 from Crusade for a New Humanity, this allowed him to expand his resources and increase the capabilities of his 30-year-old family business, “La Panaderia del Chinito.” (The Chinese Bakery)

Every day the Jimenez family begins to work at five in the morning to continue the work that their father began when he was 20 years. Despite the recent increase in the ingredient prices, this family bakery continues to serve warm bread to the table of their community.

After administrating this business, Don Bartolo also works in favor of the youth of his neighborhood by organizing sports events and training workshops with the purpose of helping younger generations to find a way to succeed in life. (AV/BG)
