Jon Huntsman: Candidate for The 2012 U.S. Presidency
Huntsman, who represented the Obama administration as ambassador in Beijing, joins the seven candidates who have already declared their intentions, including former governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney and Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachman.
“I am the husband of the love of my life and the father of seven marvelous kids, son of fantastic parents. I am from the American West, the country where the views are endless (…) And today, I am a candidate for U.S. president,” he said in front a big U.S. flag.
The candidate resigned from the embassy in China in April after two years in office to be able to participate in the elections, he said he respects Obama, but keeps with him “differences of opinion about how we can help the country we both love “. (MS)
