Barcelona president Jose Francisco Cevallos referred today to the criticism his club received last Wednesday from Ivan Hurtado, president of the Football Association of Ecuador (AFE) and former teammate both in the yellow team and the national team.
Last week and within the context of a strike threat that finally was not met, Hurtado complained about several leaders, including those of Barcelona, saying that they have not paid their players nor have fulfilled their payment arrangements with the AFE. “I trusted in Cevallos, who is my friend, but Barcelona did not pay,” said Bam-Bam at a news conference.
Then he continued “ask the Barcelona players that are here if they have charged the double or triple as a reward for winning the (first) stage. The complaint of Hurtado also extended to other clubs like Olmedo and Liga de Loja, both of series B.
