Katy Perry’s Nerdy Alter Ego

Katy Perry premiered her “Last Friday Night” music video today. But it is not only a music video, it is an eight-minute shorfilm featuring Katy’s nerdy alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry, a 13-year-old girl who struggles with the pressures of being  an 8th grader in high school, she plays sudoku, wears brazers, giant eyeglasses and wants to have more facebook friends.

The video also features internet sensation Rebecca Black, who plays Kathy’s popular neighbor who loves to party and party and have fun fun fun.  Kathy is still waiting for her e-vite to go to the party but she has not received it, she also wants to date Steve Johnson, one of the cool kids who recently growed muscles and is considered “a hunk” by all the girls at school.

Kathy also has a secret admirer, Everett McDonald, a nerdy kid, played by Glee’s Kevin McHale, who claims she is the love is his life and she is beautiful just the way she is. Kathy will leave behind her sudoku puzzles to go to the party of the year and with Rebecca’s help, she will have tons of fun.
