The president of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, will receive on Monday, January 14, Peter Blanck, head of the Board of the Global Universal Design Commission (GUDC), at the Government Palace, informed the General Secretariat of Communication of the Presidency.
The meeting will take place at 11:15 and indicated that Blanck is in the country at the invitation of the Metropolitan Public Enterprise of Tourist Destination Management, Quito Turismo.
The company invited him to deliver a plaque certifying the Metropolitan Convention Center of Quito as “the first building in Ecuador that meets the universal design standards for buildings for public use,” he said in a statement.
This act will be held on January 17. Blanck is also president of BBI Burton Blatt Institute and president of Raising the Floor (RtF) and honorary professor of the Center for Disability, Law and Politics, at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
