Lohan Under House Arrest

After accepting she stole a  $ 2,500 gold necklace at a jewelry store in LosAngeles, actress Lindsay Lohan was sentenced on Wednesday to four months in prison. 

However Lohan, who was absent on her hearing, will probably meet only 16 or 17 days of her sentence under house arrest due to a program of good behavior, officials said.

“As we would do with any other defendant with a similar sentence with a minimal criminal history, the Sheriff’s Department will determine whether Lohan is eligible for early release and electronic monitoring,” said the prosecutor Shawn Holley, claiming that the 24-year-old actress would not receive special treatment for being a celebrity.

Lohan will also receive counseling and will participate in a national anti-shoplifting program.
