Manta, probable option for Nissan Operation Center
Posted On 09 Oct 2012
This afternoon, the Ecuadorian Ambassador in the United States, Nathalie Cely announced through her Twitter account that the Nissan Company would be interested in building a regional operation center in the city of Manta, Manabi.
The news has raised expectations in the city authorities of Manta, where, since last year, Hyundai operates an assembly plant.
Jaime Estrada, Mayor of Manta, confirmed that last week, several Nissan technicians were inspecting some sectors where the center could be built, once the proposal is approved.
Estrada emphasized that the Municipality shall provide facilities to the investors as “a 50% discount on all taxes and municipal taxes, to the best of the investments approved by the Production Code.”
