Moreno promises that the workers´ sector will be part of the CPCCS

“They have to go home,” President Lenin Moreno said yesterday in relation to the members of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS) during a meeting with the members of the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores (CUT) at the Carondelet Palace.
After being informed that the union was in favor of the referendum and that it supports the current management, Moreno promised them that if approved the question, three members of the workers´ sector would take part to the transitory CPCCS.
The Government and the CUT also agreed that the treatment of workers’ rights is treated in the National Council of Labor and Wages, through a tripartite dialogue among employees, employers and the State.
Moreover, the Government promised that the new working modalities will not violate the rights of the labor sector. (I)
