National Police integrated more than 1,500 new uniformed officers to its ranks

In an event in which President Guillermo Lasso participated, this Friday morning, October 14, 2022, the incorporation ceremony of 1,564 troops, 986 men and 578 women, was held.

President Guillermo Lasso stressed that the new soldiers will help strengthen citizen security.

For his part, the General Commander of the National Police, Fausto Salinas, stressed that one of the areas of institutional strengthening is the increase in human talent. “This is a commitment to service and duty, as Veronica Songor, who is in our prayers, has also shown. Her conduct must be the example of legality, based on values ​​and principles in favor of social peace”, she emphasized.

During the act, the award “For courage” was made to Police Officers and Operational Technicians, as a sign of gratitude and an institutional example. In addition, the decoration “For postmortem value” was given to the relatives of the Sbte. Jorge Luis Bermeo Gudiño, who offered his life in the fulfillment of his service.

In the ceremony held at the Alberto Spencer stadium in the city of Guayaquil, an honorary recognition was also given to the National Police Tania Liseth Caisa Zurita, for obtaining the first seniority for her effort and dedication during her training period.
