Jaime Nebot (PSC-Madera de Guerrero) and Mauricio Rodas (SUMA), are the closer candidates to win the City Hall of Guayaquil and Quito, respectively, according to data from the polling companies Market and Cedatos Gallup, was reported on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the firm Market, on a research carried out between January 5 to February 8, Jaime Nebot had a voting intention of 52%, which on February 8 increased to a 55%.While the candidate Viviana Bonilla, of the Government movement Alianza Pais (AP) on January 5 she had a voting intention of 27% and  on February 8 reached 29%.
Polibio Cordova, of Cedatos Gallup, gives Nebot 65, 4% of valid votes (which does not include the null and white votes); While, to his opponent, Viviana Bonilla, a 32, 3% of valid votes.
In Quito, on January 5, 29% of the voters supported Mauricio Rodas, but onFebruary 8 that percentage amounted to 42%, reported Market. Whereas, the candidate of Alianza Pais, Augusto Barrera, from having 40% of the voting intention, decreased to 36%.
The Cedatos Gallup figures reveal that a 49, 9% are valid votes in favor of Mauricio Rodas; Unlike Augusto Barrera, who has 46.6%.
