New equipment to locate the Malaysia Airlines plane
The search of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 will have `a more intensive tracking on the ocean floor´ with `new special equipment´, announced today the Deputy Chief of the Australian Government, Warren Truss, during a meeting in Canberra with representatives from Malaysia and China.
`The search will not be interrupted or canceled, we will not give up or cease our efforts,´ promised the Transport Minister, Chuatang Yang, according to local media.
The unmanned submarine `Bluefin-21´ made available by the U.S. Navy, will be operating four weeks, announced the Coordination Office of search in Perth.
The device tracked in 35 days 400 square kilometers of ocean floor without finding a trace of the plane.
`We must know more about the ocean floor in order to search the next phase more efficiently and safely, possibly in deeper water using an ultrasonic radar and other underwater vehicles,´ the researchers reported.
