Hugo Chavez is silent

Nicolas Maduro, the vice president of Venezuela, stated last Sunday that the president Hugo Chavez is carrying out a “strictly disciplined” a special treatment to his cancer in Cuba. However the silence of the leader prolongs for more than two weeks worrying the Venezuelans.

“The commander is with his medical team of men and woman, Cubans and Venezuelans, which have helped him with an exact and perfect recovery plan for his health recovery, in order to strengthen his physical conditions,” said the vice president in a public act.

After being re-elected last October 7, the media presence of Chavez has decreased since last November 15 when he was last seen in television during a meeting with the cabinet.

Maduro asked to respect the private life of the leader, the comments were made after inquiries made by the former presidential candidate Henrique Capriles who pointed out that the president has not said “a single world” and demanded to the government the “most absolute transparency” regarding this subject.
