ODEBRECHT Case: According to the Office of the Prosecutor, three parties confirmed their participation in the crime of unlawful association during a trial hearing

After 12h00 this Wednesday, December 6, the 12th day of the hearing for the alleged crime of illicit association ended, in the ODEBRECHT case, where the Vice President of the Republic, Jorge Glas, and 8 other defendants are being investigated. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, during the Képler V. stage, Gustavo M., and José Rubén T. confirmed their participation in the crime
After 9:00 am on Wednesday, a trial hearing was held for the alleged crime of conspiracy. For this day, which adds the twelfth day, were presented the anticipated testimonies of Képler V., Gustavo M., and José Rubén T. The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the three involved ratified their participation in the crime of illicit association.
Prior to the start of the hearing, the vice president insisted that nothing has been proven against him. He reiterated his innocence and that the accusations of conspiracy are a plot between the Prosecutors Office and Odebrecht.
“We are the same as at the beginning. The prosecution kept the version of a corrupt confessed, José Santos, who is not prosecuted and was found acquitted of the case. Here there has been a pact with Odebrecht, probably a political pact with my head in the middle, “said Glas.
The States Prosecutor, Carlos Baca, however, denied that the declaration of abandonment of the private accusation due to a delay of the representatives of the Attorney General’s Office at the hearing yesterday, in the case of alleged illicit association, means that there would no longer be a comprehensive repair. Baca pointed out that, independently of the private accusation, it is the Public Prosecutor’s Office that watches over the company, and therefore, he will request compensation, which will be part of the sentence issued by the judges.
In the diligence of yesterday, in the National Court of Justice the representatives of the prosecutor’s office arrived at reinstatement of the hearing with 7 minutes of delay and the Court declared in abandonment to the private accusation. (I)
