Organizations, restless for the examination on signatures in CNE

The provisional results of a special examination carried out by the Comptroller General of the State (CGE) to the system of verification of signatures for the registration of political organizations of the National Electoral Council (CNE), disturbs four national political organizations.
The preliminary results are due to the period from February 1, 2013 to August 31, 2018. There it was revealed that Social Commitment (FCS), Social Justice, Together We Can and Freedom is People would have failed with the requirement to complete 1.5% of signatures to register in the Permanent Registry of Political Organizations.
It was detected that the system of verification of signatures used by the CNE, Controlcap, allowed the entry of up to 12 digits in the field assigned to the identification number, to deceased persons, minors, among other irregularities.
In total, 118 802 ID numbers should not have been accepted during registration.
The vice president of the electoral body, Pedro Pita, regretted that this scenario and said that the four organizations should not have achieved legal life. “I am not struck by the deficiency of the computer system that was operated in the correísta period,” he said.
Manuel Castilla, president of Social Justice, said they will wait for an official notification to issue an answer on the subject.
Meanwhile, Paúl Carrasco, principal of Juntos Podemos, said last Wednesday that the aim is to affect the democratic structure and that the issue is the exclusive responsibility of the CNE.
Vanessa Freire, national director of FCS, who wrapped up the correísmo in the sectionals, was surprised and assured that they have fulfilled all the requirements for legal life. “We have our legal and technical bases that we have fulfilled 100% what the Law establishes, the Code”.
Libertad es Pueblo reported in a statement that they fulfilled “the steps and requirements” indicated by the Law.
