Palestine Appeal to UN After a Long Peace Process
This Friday the Palestinians will ask the UN to be recognized as a State after 20 years of a peace processconference in Madrid regarding a territorial dispute. Such conference started secretly in Oslo in 1992.
Among other troublesome themes is, the capital of Jerusalem, the return of more than three million of Palestinians into their homeland, and the issue of the borders of 1967 before Israel occupied Gaza and West Bank that was included in the east of Jerusalem during the Six Day War.
The suicide attacks of Palestinians during the 90’s stranded the peace process. But after the intervention of the United States president, Barack Obama on September 3 of 2010, the peace negotiations were retaken however they failed again when Israel continued to construct the colonies in Palestinian territory.
