Parts of induction cookers will not pay tariffs
Parts of imported induction cookers will pay zero tariffs. This measure is only for the assembly plants that are registered in the Ministry of Industry and Productivity (MIPRO). This group of companies are supporting the change from using gas to consume electricity for food preparation.
Resolution 013 of the Commission of Foreign Trade (Comex) also indicates that these benefits are temporary, only until November 30 of this year.
To carry out this process, the Comex will make a Registry of Induction Cookers Assembly Plants, which will determine which companies will benefit by paying 0 % tariff on imports of parts. For this, the authorities have a timeline.
Inscriptions and submission of documents from the companies that want to sell induction cookers through the ‘Efficient Cooking’ government program finished last friday, May 9.
