The Petroecuador Public Company announced in a statement the normality in the provision of petroleum derivatives and referred to a series of rumors about the shortage of fuels spread through social networks in recent days.
“We have sufficient stock to guarantee the dispatch of fuels and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) throughout the country,” the statement said.
The report says that the three refineries operated by Petroecuador: Esmeraldas, La Libertad, and Shushufindi, work according to the agenda. Although hydrocarbons authorities announced a planned shutdown of the Esmeraldas Refinery, it has not yet been done. Oil products are commonly produced in that refinery.
“We work in an orderly and programmed way, so we dispatch fuels with total normality towards the different gas stations, at a national level.” (I)
