Presidential Adviser visits Guayas prosecutor

Latorre took the elevator up to the tenth floor of the Posecutor bulding, where the office of Gagliardo is. They spoke less than twenty minutes. When Latorre asked about what motivated him to visit Gagliardo, he said he went to find out about the health status of the prosecutor’s brother, Gaston, “he underwent surgery.”
Latorre denied that his visit was for the preliminary investigation that the prosecution is doing against Judge Paredes or the lawsuit Assemblyman Cesar Montufar (NDA) filed on Thursday afternoon against Gutenberg Vera, Correa’s lawyer.
Gagliardo said Latorre’s visit was not scheduled and denied there was any pressure on the research that he directed against the judge who upheld the president in the complaint for alleged libel against El Universo newspaper.
Before leaving the prosecution, Latorre spoke about Montufar’s complaint against Vera. He said that the legislature seeks to prominence in the media and reminded him that “despite having a special privilege to be Assemblyman, full compensation for the damage being done could be due tomorrow”
