Posted On 11 Sep 2012

PRIAN presented 18,000 additional signatures.
The Partido Renovador Institucional Accion Nacional (PRIAN) presented yesterday new signatures to the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym).
The deputy director of PRIAN, Wilson Sanchez, arrived at CNE with 18,000 additional signatures to add them to the 600,000 previously submitted, to ensure legal status of the party in order to participate in the 2013 elections.
PRIAN’s signature verification made by the CNE should have started yesterday with the verification of 422,000 signatures, but there have been delays due to the slow computer system.
Process is expected to begin tomorrow without fail. (MZ)
