The Office of the Prosecutor conducted a raid on the offices of Telconet, located north of Quito, last Friday. within the fiscal instruction that investigates the alleged crime of attack on the integrity of computer systems against Ola Bini, citizen of Swedish nationality arrested on April 11 last.

After the free, voluntary and non-sworn version of the special representative of Telconet, it was learned that Ola Bini had a service contract signed on April 2, 2015, for which he paid almost $ 5,000 a month until now.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor, Telconet provided the physical space and the appropriate environment for the operation of a server, in addition to the service of a link that allows data from the server to go from the company’s data center to the Internet, the Prosecutor’s Office informed.
Last April, the Minister of the Interior, María Paula Romo, indicated that Bini had paid $ 230,000 between 2015 and 2019 – which is equivalent to $ 4,791 per month – for internet services to Telconet.

In addition the Prosecutor indicated that the contract signed by Bini with Telconet is written entirely in Spanish and, furthermore, prior to his departure to Japan, he left a special power of attorney, dated April 10, 2019 (one day before his arrest). which was intended to remove the server that was housed in Telconet, since April 2015.
In the raid, a server was seized which, according to the manufacturer’s suggested use, serves different business technology services. The seized equipment entered the chain of custody to the Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences Laboratory. (I)
