Ecuadorian police gave a public recognition to William Alvarez for delivering to the authorities about $ 60,000 found at the door of his home in Guayaquil, at the moment he was leaving to work.

The police high command made the recognition to officer William Alvarez for his “high sense of ethics,” which was highlighted by the commander of the institution, Gen. Fausto Tamayo, said the Ministry of Interior on its Twitter account.

At the recognition ceremony of the official “was highlighted the importance of each member of the police to manage their actions framed on codes of ethics,” added the entity.

A week ago, Alvarez found a bag at the door of his home, imagining that a neighbor threw garbage, but inside the bag appeared a backpack with several bundles of $ 20 bills, which totaled about $ 60,000.
