Quito place its hopes in the rain to stop fires.

Yesterday, a slight drizzle at approximately 20:30 on different sectors of the capital, was registered.

Although the rain was brief, the Quito citizens showed their emotion through social networks.

Phrases like “The rain returns to Quito!“, “Rain at last“, “refreshing rain” could be seen on Twitter.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMHI for its Spanish acronym), rainfall will repeat, although dispersed, throughout the afternoon. (MZ)
