Remains of children missing in explosion are found

ESMERALDAS. The remains of children were transferred to the morgue in this city, to practice the autopsy.

The bodies of two children were found by the battalion of infantry of the San Lorenzo Marina between 07:00 and 09:00 yesterday, but until the afternoon was still a mystery the way how  Gabriel Sancan and Miguel Escalante, both aged 16, entered to  Coast Guard mobile station Cuyabeno River, where last Tuesday there was an explosion that caused its collapse.

The remains of the youths along with those of Francisco Huacon, a third deseased of the explosion, arrived at dawn to Guayaquil. In the morning both corpses were buried by their family members.

It is presumed that Sancan and Suarez were part of the five civilians who entered the ship on monday  to carry out tasks of maintenance for the company Master Soft.

According to the general manager of Master Soft, Enrique Fierro, the company subcontracted  Paco Sancan, father of one of the dead children. “We already talked with him and he said that he took his son and a friend of his son; We were unaware that they were going to be transported with him. When the accident occurs it is when we find out and it was discovered that they were minorsrj, “said Fierro.

For his part, José Quinonez, Escalante’s uncle, said that his nephew had told her mother that Friday, March 29 that he would be heading to Esmeraldas to work with Sancan, who supposedly worked with him for almost two years.

However, Paco Sancan, said that he did not take the minors for work, but to accompany him.

Fierro said that the National Directorate of water spaces (Dirnea), communicated them only the date of arrival of the personnel that would give maintenance to the ship, but was not detailed the number of workers or their identities.
