Ricardo Patino Seeks to Establish Economic Relations with Iran
Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign Relations, Ricardo Patino, informed today that Ecuador seeks to establish agreements of economic and commercial cooperation with Iran. Patino started his visit in the Middle Eastern country yesterday.
In a press conference Patino along with his Iranian colleague Ali Akbar Salehi, he said that he expects to “finish with obstacles and set projects” with commercial and financial groups along with the petrochemical field and the elimination of taxes.
Patino blamed the “blocking measures” that affect Iran to the UN as well as the EU and USA. However the Ecuadorian Foreign Minister was optimistic regarding the future collaboration between Quito and Teheran. Patino assured that both countries have “political will.” (AV)
