Russia Warns Obama Not to Violate International Law

Russia replied with strong criticism the threat of unilateral action against Syria made by the U.S. President Barack Obama last Tuesday.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, after a meeting with China’s top diplomat, stated that Moscow and Beijing are committed to “the need to strictly adhere to the norms of international law and not to allow their violation”.
Last Monday Obama threatened “serious consequences” if Bashar al-Assad used chemical or biological weapons or even moved in a menacing way. AV
