Last Friday, the Guayaquil Historical Park welcomed a baby sloth as a new member of the family. This is the second born of this species in the park. The animal is stable and currently remains unknown whether it is male or female.
The park and also zoo, will wait two months to determine the sex of the bear, because until that time still remain close to its mother.
“This species lives tied to its mother until about the first year of life, feeds on fruits and vegetables,” said an official of the park.
In this park there are about 330 different species of animals.
