Senescyt will create a law to protect knowledge
Under the draft for the Organic Code of Social Economy of Knowledge (COESC+i), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt for its Spanish acronym) proposes a bill that, among other things, would protect and encourage the creation, usage and dissemination of knowledge.
The head of Senescyt Rene Ramirez explained that the new model of intellectual property, which plans to replace the current one, will consist in the construction of a system of knowledge management that develops creative activity and social innovation, facilitate technology transfer, access to knowledge and culture.
The COESC+i uses a wiki virtual tool for collective construction of this law. A person can access it through the link: http://coesc.educacionsuperior.gob.ec
