Singer Jose Guardiola Passed Away
Singer Jose Guardiola has died today at the age of 82. Guardiola, who achieved great popularity in the 50’s, represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963, where he finished in twelfth place.
Guardiola was born in the Catalan capital in 1930 and among his greatest hit records were sixteen tons, green countryside, Children of Piraeus, When when, or Venice without you.
One of his most famous hits was Di Pope, a song he played along his daughter Rosemarie, with whom he also played the song of the wanderer.
The singer also recorded albums with catalan songs like the first vegada, The vell carrer de l’aimada y Diumenge és sempre diumenge.
