Spotify Will Be on Facebook
Spotify, the music service via internet streaming that revolutionized Europe, will be on Facebook within two weeks, Forbes informed.
The social network will include a Spotify icon on the left side menu on its home page. When users click on it, Spotify software will get installed on their computer and allow them to access musical offerings without leaving Facebook, and simultaneously listen to selected music with their friends.
The music portal has not reached any agreement with U.S. record companies, thus it can not offer its catalog (in Europe, it has 10 million songs), however, it has opened negotiations to enter the market in this country.
Spotify was founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon and already has more than one million paying subscribers and 10 million registered users in European countries like Britain, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands.
