Stephen Hawking Will Support “Manuela Espejo” Mission
Ecuadorian Vice President Lenin Moreno, met yesterday with English physicist Stephen Hawking at Cambridge University, in London, where he spoke of the work done by the vice presidency of the mission “Manuela Espejo”.
During the meeting, the Vice President stressed the current situation of thousands of poor people with physical and mental disabilities in the country. Also asked Hawking about the technological system it uses to communicate, it considers important to “Manuela Espejo” count on that technology. Hawking expressed his support to that cause.
The second president shared with the physical information on the project City of Knowledge (Yachay), a university of excellence in Ecuador, located in the town of Urcuquí, Imbabura.
Hawking wrote in his computer for this project given “to carry personnel and researchers,” while explaining that could contact African Mathematical Sciences Institute (AIMS) directed by Professor Neil Turok, or pyrometer in Waterloo in Canada, for advice on the subject.
