Suicide Attack Kills People in Yemen Checkpoint

This Tuesday morning a suicide bomber claimed the lives of three soldiers after blowing himself up in a checkpoint in the province of al-Baitha, Yemen.
The assailant used a car bomb; according to security officials the explosion was heard 8 miles away. After the blast, officials suspect and blamed al-Qaeda for the attack.
This incident led to several clashes that left four suspected al-Qaeda militants dead, including a senior al-Qaeda operative Nasser al-Thafri. People fear for their safety and many are thinking of evacuating their homes. (AV)
