Syrian Demonstrators Demand Resignation of Al Assad
After the security forces killed nine people during the demonstrations. Witnesses said that the anti-government protesters were calling on Assad to “leave.” Activists informed that the security forces killed two people and wounded 12 more when more that a hundred thousand civilians headed to the central city of Homs this Friday.
In the Damascus suburb of Qadam another demonstrator perished by the security forces. The demonstrators are chanting for an end to the siege on Syrian cities and the end Bashar Al Assad regime. Similar protests have begun in the city of Hama, were 200,000 civilians filled the square around the central Clock Tower.
Meanwhile the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has informed that 1,400 people have reportedly been killed in the crackdown that led to the protests. These actions have provoked a global condemnation of the Syrian regime. (AV)
