Syrian Rebels try to Take New Strongholds

Syrian rebels flee to Hafeh
Recently Homs is almost under control of the government, terrorists and insurgents try to escape north and east. Now the insurgents are building a new Belt of strongholds on Syrian territory along the Turkish border.
Reports indicate that the rebels and terrorists are escaping towards Hafeh, where security was restored the last weekend. However the insurgent forces are leaving from Rastan, Homs, Khaldiyeh, and the Turkey-Idlib border in order to gather at Hafeh.
These forces are setting up a new stronghold in Hafeh as a replacement for the lost base in Homs. The rebels would have an advantage in Hafeh since it has several escape routes. Meanwhile the Syrian Army continues to perform house-to-house operations. So far it has destroyed a large amounts of stockpile of smuggled weapons and communication devices. (AV)
