A temporary symbolic monument of marble in honor of the late Ecuadorian President Leon Febres Cordero was placed on the gangplank of Las Peñas, Guayaquil.
The mayor of the city, Jaime Nebot, arrived at the site amid hundred of followers who accompanied him from the Crystal Palace, at the southern end of Malecon Simon Bolivar (2000), where it was held an act of parties Social Cristiano (PSC for its Spanish acronym) and Madera de Guerrero (MG).
Nebot said earlier in his Twitter account that the new monument will be installed “to be legal and fair in Las Peñas, as it was decided by the Municipality of Guayaquil.”
The original monument to Leon Febres Cordero brought from Spain, is located on the premises of the Customs of Guayaquil.
