The Comptroller audits the Ministry of Communication

Revenues, expenses and contracts from the National Communications Secretariat (Secom), from August 2013 to August 2015, were examined by the Comptroller.

In its report, the company “Ecuadetalles” is mentioned, company that should have provided call center services, however, ir “made monitoring and presented political candidates of a political movement, which caused the use of public resources to promote that political organization”.

It refers to “Alianza PAIS” information obtained by the Comptroller through emails like this, from February 3, 2014, sent by the Secom to Ecuadetalles:

“We need to confirm the transmission of the SP speech at 18h30 with the following radios. Please do not forget that you need to call as Alianza PAIS not as Secom and that this is a contribution to AP.”

Other observations have to do with Secom contracts with companies of the officials´ relatives.
