According to the Ecuadorian company, which has 72% of the local market, a study was made to discover the preferences of consumers. Most respondents said they are looking for a traditional taste.
Enrique Ycaza, executive of the OLÉ company, believes that the customer looks for “Ecuadorian flavors and additionally real.” For this, he told this newspaper, “Our key lies in the use of natural ingredients. If our salsa says it has passion fruit, it is because it is really prepared with fresh fruit.”
