The Ombudsman updated study on media content
Posted On 28 Apr 2014
The Ombudsman hired an external consultant to update the study on the content of media made in 2012, which established that several programs, broadcast on national television, supposedly encourage the discrimination and violence.
María José Fernández, Zonal Coordinator of the institution, said that the results of this new study will be disseminated in the coming days (no date specified).
She emphasized that research will be done in the entire spectrum of communications, although this installment just focused on television. And sheannounced that from this analysis many spaces will be questioned.
After the assessment of the new study, the Ombudsman Office will determine wheter they start or not other legal actions, in addition to those already undertaken by several groups against certain TV Shows.
